What we have here is a failure to communicate...(redux)
A kind soul reminded me of another hurdle we have to leap before we can offer HID support at the user mode level. There's a thread running around in kernel mode that consumes input. Since we can't talk to that thread from our user mode drivers as yet, HID drivers are sort of on hold.
So in short, Stephen D, it really won't work...yet. :)
