Growing the city to a metropolis
I have recently returned to playing SimCity 4 on my spare time. I have never been much of a games enthusiast, but for some reason SimCity has been my absolute favorite for a very long time. I have had several periods of time in the past years when I take the cd, install it, and get carried away with the intriguing idea of governing a city and growing it piece by piece.
I just recently realized that I really have also a business reason for playing it: I get to watch what it is that makes a city to grow, and what does it take to make it a metropolis. The more I play it, the more I understand what Pat Helland means in his famous Metropolis story! ;)
