Windows Mobile 5.0 sample project (SMSNotifier)

I built a sample of how to use the basic Windows Mobile 5.0 managed APIs for a lecture that I gave at Mobiilipäivä and at Mobiiliohjelmointi courses at Tampere University of Technology. You can get all the details plus executable and source code here.

# re: Windows Mobile 5.0 sample project (SMSNotifier)

Thanks for this great util, the idea and functions are great! Only problem is that it does everything twice... It adds calendar items twice, and it sends out 2 sms msgs on notifications.. If
you have any ideas/spare time to fix this, this would be an awesome application. I'm currently having this issues on a QTEK 9090 (HTC Blue Angel).

Suggestion for new feature:
Autostart minimized option (for soft reset)

Big thanks for this great app!

Hey I think this is a great app, two things though, it's not saving my custom reponse messages, and is there a way to make it start up with phone?

Keep up the good work, is there a way to subscribe to the application site for updates?

thanks

Hey... i was using this app and then a land line call came in and the phone sent 3 voice to land line messages in a row to the answering machine.

Is there anyway to fix that?

Hello Aali,
This is a GREAT Application, now we have an in-built solution that is missing on the Pocket PC Product for a long, long time!

YES like what Marius mentioned it is an awesome application but the only hitch...it sends out twice...and we hope that you can spare some time to 'fix' this.

Then we will have a GREAT APPLICATION!

Looking forward to the resolution...

Hey John,
You saw Wayne Sutton comments above?

Look for the SMSNotifierSettings.xml file: edit and save it!

I have been very busy lately and haven't had the time to fix the bugs, but I will look into them in the near future. Currently there is no possibility to subscribe to updates (other than this blog), but I will add a section to the app site detailing the version history, changes etc once I get to post the second version.

Hello Aali,
Thank you for taking some time off from your busy schedule to send us a reply.

It is nice to know that you will be fixing the bugs in the near future, I really hope we will not have to wait too long...HAHAHA!

As I mentioned earlier, it is a great piece of application and I am already using it despite the slight short-falls.

Thank you.
