DSLs at XP 2006 workshop changes
It turned out that Alan cannot make it to the workshop in Oulu, so I will be replacing him and host the workshop with Steven. So, while I don't work directly with the Visual Studio modeling team, I am an eager believer in the DSL concept as a whole and do have some experience on the DSL Tools. So do not expect to hear in-depth visionary statements on where we are going with our tools, rather hands-on practice on how the current incarnation of the tools work and discussion on DSLs in general.
We are planning to actually implement something with concrete tools, so in order to do something useful with our tools you would need the following on your laptop:
Visual Studio 2005 Standard, Professional or Team edition (no Express, sorry :( )
Visual Studio SDK, either the April version (better documentation) or June CTP (closer to the final but probably not as stable as April CTP).
It takes too long to set up Visual Studio at the workshop, but the SDK is a lot smaller and can be installed there if you have Visual Studio already on your machine. I can bring along a cd with the bits for those who want to install it at the workshop.
