Analog vs digital tv transmissions
I noticed that Scoble is also making a note on shutting down analog TV (Turn off analog TV? It’ll never happen). Well, guess what? Finland has long ago decided that it will happen, after 194 days from today to be exact.
Personally, I agree with Scoble and local digital TV critique, Petteri Järvinen. For many people, digital broadcasting has been a reality for years already, in the form of internet and TCP/IP -based technology. I think everyone would be better off here in Finland if all the government money would have been spent on upgrading the IP infrastructure instead of wasting it on this digi-TV nonsense.
