The Votes are coming in...
Tomorrow (March 29th 2008) is the final day in which national bodies can reconsider their position on Open XML becoming an ISO/IEC standard.
Since the BRM's conclusion, the countries which had initially voted "Disapprove with comments" (on September 2nd 2007) have been deciding whether or not to change to "Approve".
In the context of ISO/IEC standardization, this decision to change should be based on whether the modifications made during the BRM have sufficiently addressed the comments that were raised.
It's great to see this process working, and watching the reconsidered positive votes come in. Four noteworthy examples are the Czech Republic, Denmark, South Korea and Finland.

The Czech Republic had submitted 75 comments, and after the BRM, were completely satisfied with 74 responses and partially satisfied with 1. As 98.67% of their concerns were addressed, they changed their vote to "Approve".
Denmark had voted "Disapprove" and submitted 168 comments. They were satisfied with the relevant results of the BRM and have just announced that they've changed their position to "Approve".
South Korea had voted "Disapprove" with 25 comments. They have just announced their new "Approve" position.
Finland had voted "Abstain" and submitted 15 comments. Being satisfied with the outcome of the BRM, they announced their new position as "Approve".
I'm sure that more are on their way...
