Access 2007 ribbon examples

A while back I asked for examples of ribbon apps that developers have created. My hope is that we can stimulate different ideas and help people think about how to build apps using the new paradigm. Here are some of the examples sent in by the community...

Edwin Blancovitch from Advanced Developers.net sent me screen shots of his great looking Easy Payroll 2008.

Provides a full multi-level payroll program highlighted by its outstanding flexibility, making it an excellent alternative for just about any type of business that needs to do some in-house payroll processing. It reads data from most badge cards or biometric clocks, and to make it more flexible, it also prepare all tax returns needed by a payroll application.

Thomas Fluegel with Sage sent me a preview of their latest ERP solution Sage Office Line.

(I understand the post was intended to display the ribbon and its possibilities, but I decided to wait and see if there will be a simpler user interface for building and maintaining the ribbon in the next Access version, and hopefully it will have a comprehensive object model for DAO as well)

So with regard to the TreeView control: The question is addressed to:

1) The person who sent screen shots from Instant Quote Professional 2007 by PCEsoft.com. I am referring to the right hand side of the “Parts screen”.

2) Thomas Fluegel from Sage.

Both examples contain what looks to me like a TreeView. Can you please provide some details about this control? What control did you use? Are there any issues with deployment? Does it require special registry editing per computer?

Most of those make me remember why I've never taken up office 2007 for my development efforts. But I was interested to see the sage toolbars with the three smaller icons instead of the single monster...how is that done? It's almost bearable.

Not sure if it's still available in Access2007, but Access 2003 has an Treeview control as part of the ActiveX Controls.

It has to be filled programatically via VBA and (IMHO) suffers from some minor conceptional flaws, but is basically quite easy to do and very flexible in the presentation of data (including formatting).
