As we posted before, the Access 2007 runtime is going to ship with the ADE, and redistribution of the runtime

re: Access 2007 Developer Extensions and Runtime - Still On The Way

Any idea when the new extensions will be complete? I would really like to upgrade our products to Access 2007 but, without the runtime, we can't move forward. I would even be interested in being a Beta Site.

I have run into some issues with ribbon behavior when I launch with /runtime. For example, I made a custom ribbon (start from scratch="true") and put the standard ViewFormView and ViewDatasheet view as separate buttons, set the startup form to have both modes available. The ViewFormView button is not visible at all but the ViewDatasheetView button is fine. When launched without /runtime both buttons work great. If I force ViewFormView button to be visible="true" then it does work.

With the delay in getting the runtime version available it means that some people who have been using the Office 2007 Trial version will find their package runs out before the runtime is available, even assuming the June target is met. Will an expired trial version of Access 2007 be able to do anything with existing databases, e.g. use them read-only, please? I would hope it would as that was what the unactivated version of the trial version did.

I too would be very interested in trying out the Beta of the runtime if you need any testers (mentioned that to Clint a short while back).
