Too lazy to link
The other night I realized that I would like my editor to link for
me. That is, I know what I want to link, but I am too
lazy to find the actual URL to stick in there. This commonly
happens on my own personal blog, when I refer to previous events.
I highlight the phrase I want to link and notice that the phrase is
descriptive enough that my editor should, via a hover, suggest a list
of links for me. The important thing to note here is that I'm not
advocating automatic linking: I want to have control over what phrases
are links and what are regular text. This type of job is good for
humans. But simply looking up the URL of the page I want to
reference sounds like a great job for a computer.
