Turning off Proofing and Autocorrect in Word 2007

This is the second time this question has come up in the last week or so, so I thought I’d answer it here. Sometimes, you want to turn off proofing (spelling and grammar checking) and autocorrect in Word, either globally or for some parts of your document

Launching a website from a button in Office

There was a question on one of the internal lists today: "Looking for a no-brainer way to demo just adding a simple button to Office that goes to a URL." It’s going to work a little differently in Word & Excel than it does in Outlook. Word/Excel/Etc

Demos Happen { Here } – State finals starting in Sydney tonight.

This evening (Monday 11 Aug) is the first of the Demos Happen { Here } state finals. We’ll be kicking off at 6pm at Microsoft HQ in North Ryde. Subsequently we’ll be holding finals in the MS offices in Canberra - Aug 12 6pm Melbourne – Aug 13 6:30pm Brisbane

Deploying VSTO 3 solutions

While the default mechanism for deploying VSTO v3 Add-Ins is ClickOnce, there there's now also a documented way to deliver VSTO solutions via an MSI installer. By extension, this should mean you can push it out via group policy (or SMS or whatever). Mary
