Microsoft Enhances Collaboration for Database Professionals With New Addition to Visual Studio Product Line
As this future product will be spoken about in more detail at the imminent TechEd, I thought I’d spin up a message to share with everyone some information about this newest edition to Visual Studio Team System.
First, this is a brand new developer tool aimed at DBAs and DB Professionals, for use with SQL 2000 and SQL 2005 .
Customers who have Visual Studio Team Suite will automatically gain free access to this tool. For everyone else, it is available as one of the team system role based products, and like all the other ones, allows the user to connect to Team Foundation Server, and also is a complete developer tool allowing them to build any type of application we support in Visual Studio 2005 Professional.
Because this product represents a seriously huge improvement in our tools for database development, I expect this is going to a very popular tool. Unless you build calculator all the time, you’re probably working with a database, and if it’s SQL Server 2000 or 2005, this is the tool for you!
