Social Search Track

Social Search Overview
Search engines are tapping into human knowledge more widely through tagging, click-through tracking, search history features, and other methods. Learn about the social search revolution that's underway.

Advanced Advertising Track
11:00 A.M. – 12:30 P.M.
Does Demographic Targeting Matter?
Want to target only women, teens, or men searching for a particular topic?
Demographic targeting is no longer just a promise to search advertisers. Microsoft now offers the ability to anyone. This session will look at the Microsoft adCenter system and how well it is working.

The Search Laboratories
Most of the major search engines have research units and live testing grounds for new products and features. In this session, you'll learn about these laboratories and how some products go from the lab to the consumer.

Are search engines leeches? So they steal content and clients? Or do they provide a valuable service in driving valuable traffic to sites? Panelists discuss the issue from all the angles.

Major search engines offer application programming interfaces that let you tap into search results, ad listings, ad management systems and more. This session looks at APIs that are available, and how you might use them.

Search Engine Q&A on Links
Have questions about links? In this session, search engine representatives provide answers to the audience. Attending the other link-oriented tracks will help prepare you to participate fully in this one.
