What's your " J " word for Exchange Server Archiving...

Exchange 2003 server archival feature for saving off copies of messages sent or received, is commonly referred to as Exchange journaling.

Now one of the most commonly used phrases to describe archiving, and sure does not exist in the dictionary.  The word "Journaled"  or  "Journaling" seems to have been widely adopted in the industry especially in the messaging space. We even have a whitepaper on describing this feature called "Journaling with Exchange Server 2003"

Commonly used "Journaled" and "journaling" are not in the English dictionary, and Office spell check may even point this out to you. However, "journalizing" does seem to be the correct grammatical word describing the act of record keeping. So whats your favorite J word for message archiving ?

Journal - 'j&r-n&l

Journaling -  not in dictionary

Journaled - not in dictionary

Journalizing -
1 : to keep a journal in accounting
2 : to keep a personal journal

Journalize - Pronunciation: 'j&r-n&l-"Iz

Journalizer - well, if are the administrator, this is probably you :-)
