In which phase of development are you?!? I thought you were in the end game, just fixing bugs etc and trying to finish the designer. But now it appears you are reconsidering the API design itself? Is that really so?

David;

The ADO.NET Entity Framework, like the rest of the components within Visual Studio Orcas, is currently in Beta.  We have one more coding milestone to address customer feedback for version 1.0 before releasing in the first half of calendar year 2008.

That said, this discussion will be largely focused on the *next* version of the Entity Framework.  Sorry, that should have been clearer in the post...

Roger;

I read your comments on your blog; great feedback (much more than 2 cents worth...)  I'll try and respond to some of the issues you raise on your blog.  Sorry you won't be at TechEd; it would have been nice to meet you!

Awesome presentation at TechEd!  And it was very nice to meet you in person.

I have the sample provider, and it all works very clean from what I have seen so far.  The talk was very informative.  I think you should include a link to the LINQ 101 samples from your blog as well.  It seemed like a lot of people didn't know about the samples, and it is such a great resource.

I have some additional questions, but I will email you directly.
