  • Ecma announcement: ECMA-388 approved

  • Download the standard (specification and schemas)
  • ICC details on profile embedding (currently points to the TC46 page)
  • Wikipedia – looks like the XPS page has been (confusingly!) updated to OpenXPS and (even more confusingly) mixes up the format with implementations of the format. Oh dear.

Hi Irakli,

We don’t have any plans to announce regarding Microsoft support for OpenXPS *at this time*. Unfortunately, with the public Release Candidate already available, OpenXPS was too late for Windows 7. Microsoft does see OpenXPS as a key foundation for the printing and document ecosystem and is very pleased to see the format emerge as a formal standard. We’re looking forward to working across industry to see how best to update the ecosystem to OpenXPS.
