Third Architect meeting in Seattle

Today has be the 3rd and last day of Architect meetings in Seattle. Tomorrow will start the global sessions in the Seattle Convention Center that is packed with more than 8000 Microsoft employees.

This morning has been organized into breakaouts around specific themes:

  • Server Virtualization: Subjects such as Virtual PC, Virtual Server, Hypervisor, ... have been touched.
  • HPC: Microsoft clearly is an outsider there but all in all, we have a bright offering.
  • SaaS: Gianpaolo did moderate this group beautifully
  • Enterprise Search: The one group I was moderating.

The afternoon, we spent some time with members of the 2007 Office System group to look at the new offering and the programmability aspects of office.

I'm sorry I don't give you much details today but I'm tired so I'll take this opportunity to go to sleep.

Catch you tomorrow for a summary of the first global session day!
