But if I wait until the VPN connection is established and then I fire up the Virtual PC host then everything works like a charm.

A friend of mine told me how frustrated he was that sometimes he was not able to get the Virtual PC connected to the internal network he had open many support cases and had gone through many hoops like having his VPC removed and rejoin it from the domain installing some hotfixes etc. and once I told him what I had found he is now a happy camper and has been able to connect properly since then.

InfoPath SP1 SDK has been released

The SDK includes new sample forms, updated tools, and updated documentation that are a must for everyone that wants to do serious work with InfoPath.

InfoPath 2003 Toolkit for Visual Studio.

If you are planning to develop InfoPath forms and execute develop your login using C# or vb.net you must download the InfoPath 2003 Toolkit for Visual Studio.

The InfoPath 2003 Toolkit for Visual Studio .NET provides integration features and documentation that enable you to use Visual Studio .NET to create, debug, and build InfoPath projects that use Visual C# or Visual Basic .NET managed code.
I have been playing with SP1 for quite some time and it includes some really nice features, there are 3 features that I realy love.
a) .Net programability support
b) Tablet PC enhancements
c) Digital signatures support

Uniqueworld Ships InfoPath Viewer

Uniqueworld has released InfoView.

It is two applications in one:

An InfoPath to web form delivery engine with:

Ability for the user to fill in, interact and post back data via InfoView created forms

Ability to publish the web form data to a shared network folder, SharePoint library, or a web server

Web forms that incorporate several powerful client side features that mimic InfoPath’s rich UI capabilities.

Ability to be consumed by users with a browser

An InfoPath to web form conversion engine with:

Ability to be deployed across any server
