Chicken Sushi

Am in Tokyo for a few days...all new to me, including the chicken sushi I had last night. I'm alive this morning and that's what counts.

So what do you prefer - fish or chicken sushi? I've not had either and the thought of both kind of make my stomach churn!

I didn't even realise you could get chicken sushi! If you're still there, make sure you try some fish sushi/sashimi with wasabi (green horseradish)... apparently it's supposed to kill any nasty bugs ;-)

I had some raw chicken in Tokyo once and had no problems. We didn't ask what it was until we'd eaten most of it. I'd never heard of eating raw chicken before or since - thanks for letting me know that it's accepted practice.

I'm off to the store for some Foster Farms sushi time. ;-)

I never thought that it existed, after Rachael Ray said 'there's no such thing as Chicken Sushi'. The chicken is probably very fresh, as it would have to be, otherwise the chicken would probably have salmonella in it. It could also be steam pasteurized, to eliminate the salmonella.
