This has been available for quite a while (albeit in a clunky, ugly open-source manner) with Azureus's RSS Feed plugin (http://azureus.sourceforge.net/plugin_details.php?plugin=rssfeed)

I use it to keep track of British shows on UKNova, and it works a treat.
