David Sifry reports
the blogosphere is continuing its growth rate - doubling every six months. We've now hit 75,000 new blogs a day.

Very German, I know, but: How many blogs are shutting down a day and how many of them are lasting for more than 1 month?

Harald, David's report provides the details but to summarize:
- 19.4 million bloggers (55%) are still posting 3 months after their blogs are created
- about 3.9 million bloggers update their blogs at least weekly
- Technorati tracks about 1.2 Million new blog posts each day, about 50,000 per hour
