Since YOU brought this topic up -- I live the FIVE blade version (even thought you must shave MUCH slower) -- but the BEST feature is the single blade trimmer on the opposite side (good for under the nose).

+1 to the five blade version (aka Gillette Fusion). Much better shave.

Don't forget to add the additional time you work for the additional cost of the M3 and its blades into time wasted. :)

I'd also factor in winter hibernation. Plenty of time to be saved there. It being winter here and sitting on a computer all day, I don't actually need to shave at all! It's cold and when I do venture out I need all the winter wollies I can get!

Curiously, I use a Philishave to do my face -- takes 1-2 minutes each day, quick, easy, no fuss. It's great, and after you've gotten the knack, even better.

But when it comes to shaving "everything else", I always fall back to the M3P. Underarm or "up the crack", performance is always superb, and the only downside is that it has never convincingly kept the area around my guiche "in trim".

I'm keeping all of my (remaining) parts crossed that when the Gilette Fusion launches over here, my remaining concerns will be addressed (lest forevermore I'm cursed with a mirror and tweasers).

Sometimes, I really wish I was making this up.

Hi Alex! Yes, it's me -- followed the link from Dug's site to this post and before you know it... :-)

Still, I think these things are important when assessing the versatility of a razor -- after all, you wouldn't want to knick those family jewels if you could possibly avoid it? ;-)

Of course, I could be making everything up -- why not give it a try and report back? ;-)
