I finally found a very good practical example of demonstrating the use of MapAttributeForJoin method in the MA extension project, which I would like to share with you.

One of my clients had a situation where employeeID was stored as a string in HR but as an int in other systems. Since MIIS can only conduct direct join operations on similar data types some data conversion was required. This is where MapAttributeForJoin came to a rescue.
