Another day in the Office

A blog about Microsoft Office, Groove, SharePoint, Software Development, Business Productivity, Social Computing, Cognitive Science and anything else that comes to mind.

This stream of conciousness brought to you by Alistair Speirs, Office Technology Specialist @ Microsoft Australia.
Upcoming Webcast - Groove 2007 Tips and Tricks

If you saw me at Tech.Ed Australia or South East Asia, or have spoken to me for more than 5 minutes, you will now that I am a Groove tragic. However, that dubious role was brought into the Asia Pacific  / Oceanic region by none other than Paul Cannon, formerly the regional Technology Specialist for Office and now a newly minted Product Manager in the Office team back at world galactic headquarters. However, if you are sick of listening to me preach the glories of groove and you long for a time when a mustachioed American did the job,  tune into this webcast to learn more about Groove and its many wonders:

Start Date:

Tuesday, September 16, 2008 9:00 AM Pacific Time (US & Canada)

Event Overview

Microsoft Office Groove 2007 is a client application that helps teams connect, share information, and work together. Groove 2007 provides a more secure way for teams to share information on any network, and Groove is a great way to stay productive even without any network at all. Learn how easy it is to get started with Groove and how Groove can help connect teams from inside and outside your organization. In this webcast, we cover how to create a workspace, some options for customizing the workspace, and how to connect the workspace to Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. We also demonstrate how easy it is to invite others to participate in a Groove workspace, and we share some of the ways to purchase Groove 2007.

Presenter: Paul Cannon, Workspaces Product Manager, Microsoft Corporation

Bonus: The session will  be recorded so that you can sleep in (or listen to the webcast over and over and over again like I will)
