my VSConnections talk

Well, I’m out in Orlando for VSConnections.  Right now I’m enjoying what sunlight I can before I head back to rainy Seattle in a couple hours.  I’m actually writing this from a hammock on the fake sand of the fake beach of this resort (around a lake with "beware of alligators" signs).  I love my job.  The setup was working well until a gecko jumped on me, and then on my computer, and in surprise I accidentally threw my laptop to the ground.  Now I have sand in my serial port.

Anyway, the reason I’m here in Orlando is to give an Indigo overview talk which Ari Bixhorn and I tag-teamed this morning, basically covering the what, why, and how of Indigo.  I’m curious what people thought of it (and of Juval’s subsequent talks).  Any comments?  Was there anything that was still confusing to you, or that we should’ve covered but didn’t?

As an aside, I met lots of people here, including Julia Lerman, Juval Lowy, Christian Weyer (who works with Ingo Rammer and Christian Nagel), Billy Hollis, and Michele Leroux Bustamante.  Great to finally put a face (and often an accent) with a name.

I thought your presentation was great on Indigo. As a current developer using .NET remoting, MSMQ, and web services it was just the right amount of information to get a good understanding of how Indigo is going to affect these technologies. I can't wait until it is released!
