i visit http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=120032 and i downloaded silverlight_chainer.exe i recive error "File Corrupted" , i check my old laptop (Run Windows XP) i got same error , i checked it in Windows Vista in my laptop , run normally , i extract this and installed with this follow

Silverlight 2 Beta 2

Silverlight 2 SDK Beta 2

KB950630 for Visual Studio 2008 RTM or KB955214 for Visual Studio 2008 SP1

Silverlight Tools Beta 2 for Visual Studio 2008

i done working and got error "Microsoft Silverlight Tools is unable to open the project due to a missing patch for Visual Studio. Please download the latest update from: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=120032." for Create new project

i want fixit , but i can't find solution for this problem , thanks for help

Hi,

I'm having problems with Visual Studio 2008 SP1 and the last version of silverlight_chainer.exe.

My steps are:

1.- Uninstall all relevant silverlight.

2.- Check incompatible updates of Visual Studio.

3.- Install silverlight_chainer.exe

4.- Install ExpressionBlend 2.5 June Preview.

At this point, all works OK, and I can deploy Silverlight projects with Visual Studio.

But the Windows Update Service install a new patch for Silverlight, the update KB957938, and Visual Studio can't render any .axml.

The errror is:

"Exception type 'MS.Internal.Silverlight.Host.RuntimeInterop' "

or something like that.

If I uninstall all silverlight packets, and reinstall all, visual studio 2008 works fine.

What's hapenning with this update?

You should be installing Silverlight_Tools.exe - this is the final version (silvelight_chainer.exe is the beta version).

This version is not compatable with the 2.5 June preview of June. You will need to install the final SP version of Blend
