Anandi’s Thoughts

Random stuff (mostly) about working as a Program Manager at Microsoft
Bubbling along...

I've gotten three completed nomination forms for our upcoming TAP program already.  And we're more than a month away from the deadline.  Very cool!

This week I spent some time compiling the feedback we got from some of our partners on a survey we sent them about MSS v2.0.  12 of the 15 partners we surveyed returned feedback, which is great.  They took the time to write detailed, thoughtful comments, which will really help our team build a great product for our customers.  (word to the wise:  don't use Microsoft Word forms if you expect a lot of responses - extracting the data from them isn't pretty.)

I'm also chugging along with the plans for our TAP program.  I had to present status at our weekly mgmt meeting for the first time this week, and I will do this biweekly or monthly until the TAP program officially starts.  Then I'll be on the agenda weekly.  A lot of people on the team are excited about the program and have asked to be "buddies" to our participants.  TAP buddies are technical folks who are assigned a particular customer through the length of the program.  They will follow up with the customer on a regular basis and be the first point of contact for technical issues that arise.  I'm happy to see the interest, and one of the things I'll be doing in the next few months is putting some structure around the Buddy Program so people know what to expect.  I'll have a short training session for the buddies in September or October, just before the TAP program officially begins.  If you have input on what you think a TAP Buddy should do, post a comment for me.
