Anandi’s Thoughts

Random stuff (mostly) about working as a Program Manager at Microsoft
No better time than now

I'm sitting in Bldg20 setting up the base machines to provide an image that will be deployed to the rest of the classroom computers for our TAP training next week.

Lest you think it sounds too technical, I'm basically sitting here watching the fabulous Visual Studio 2005 Setup UI go by.  At least the little pictures change every now and then so I don't get too bored.  :)  I did ask Zhan to come over here with me and make sure IIS, etc. was properly configured when Win2003 was installed.  He did it once, and then I was on my own to check the other machine.  So maybe I've redeemed myself just a little bit.  Plus, my MCP training from Win2000 sort of kicked back in, too.  I guess you don't really remember that stuff unless you need to use it frequently.

After another failed set of VS DVDs (this batch didn't run autoinstall, but I could see the files on the DVD, though the Setup.exe didn't work), we finally got some good ones burned.  I installed one myself yesterday and it worked!  One less thing to worry about, anyway.

We ran through all of the presentations just to make sure they fit within the allotted time and to provide a chance for team members to give feedback on each others' talks.  Now we have about a day to fix up our slides before I need to send them to our Copy Service.

So things are all coming together.  I've got to squeeze in some time to write a 1000-word paper for my class on Saturday but otherwise, I'm not *too* stressed out.  Which is a Good Thing.
