It's raining in Seattle
It's absolutely pouring today, which is somewhat unusual. We get a lot of gray days, with some drizzly rain, but not many full-on, need-an-umbrella sorts of days. I'm actually biding my time at home waiting for the insurance agent's office to open, because I bought a new car yesterday! I'm so excited about this - it's a Garnet Red Audi A3, with navigation system, sunroof (ha ha), 6 CD changer and a bunch of other useless features I adore. I guess after the TAP event ended, I needed another "project" to focus my energy on - fortunately, the car buying process only took 3 days. (My husband TJ is very freaked out by this - we did the same thing when we bought our house.) Once I know what I want, I like to move quickly - I hate waiting, if I'm sure of the purchase. And I never suffer from buyer's remorse, if I've got that "sure" feeling. I've done this with all the jobs I've ever taken, car purchases, house purchases, you name it, and it has worked out really well for me. Anytime I've had an inkling of doubt and tried to ignore it, I've ended up with something I didn't want (one particular job and my Harley-Davidson motorcycle come to mind.).
Anyway, I'm back to work today after a relaxing couple of days off. I finally got a full nights' sleep without nightmares about TAP, and got around to cleaning out my fridge and pantry of all the stuff that went bad in the last month of not eating at home. TJ took me out to dinner last Thursday night, to celebrate our 6 month anniversary, the sale of his house in Tucson, and the successful TAP kickoff. So all is well here in Redmond. [:D]
If you attended the event, please make sure you go to http://connect.microsoft.com and fill out the Evaluation survey for the training - we really want your honest feedback on what went well, and what didn't. I will also gather the feedback you leave here. The issues on the Website yesterday should be resolved by now, so you should be able to take the survey and submit it. Thanks to Mike who reported the problem.
Thanks for your time, both attending the event and filling out the survey! I'm honored to be able to work with such a great bunch of customers and partners.
Cheers!
