Who I Am and What I'm Doing

Welcome to my blog.

I’m Andrew May, a programmer-writer here at Microsoft. I’m the guy responsible for writing the developer documentation for the enterprise content management features in Windows SharePoint Services V3 and Office SharePoint Server 2007. Now that the Office Beta 2 is public, I can officially emerge from the Redmond Cone of Silence and start talking about SharePoint, and specifically the extensible ECM features in the next release of WSS and MOSS.

That’s going to be the primary focus of my blog for the foreseeable future. I’ll be highlighting material from the WSS and MOSS SDKs, providing business context and best practices for the various ECM features, offering technical illustrations for download, and giving you previews of developer material that hasn’t been made public on MSDN yet.

If you take a look through the blog archives, you’ll find plenty of material pertaining to developer issues around Publisher, PowerPoint, and OneNote, as those were the products I worked on before coming over to SharePoint. Blog entries are categorized by the products to which they pertain.

Please feel free to subscribe to the RSS feed for any categories that interest you.

And thanks for stopping by.
