Ravings of a Developer TS

I have been with Microsoft as part of their Develop Platform and Evangelism team since July of 2006. As I go about my day to day, I often stumble across things I want to share out with the community. This is my soap box. I am based out of the Midwest District, so please don't be offended if you see most of the events I post being in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. If you are ever curious if the event will be in a city near you, just ask :)

I usually only post about TFS and other cool techie topics.  But this week was a doozie!

Wow, so this past weekend two friends of mine got married, and most of our close friends were in the wedding party or in attendance.  By Monday, 15 of these people were very ill with really severe flu-like symptoms.  One poor guys has been to the ER twice.

Turns out the groom was the host, hard to be mad at him, not like he could have stayed home to avoid spreading it  :)  Anyway, I have been in bed, dazed by Nyquil and Robitussen PM for almost 5 full days now.  Hopefully this weekend I'll be back to posting, retuning calls, and responding to some emails.  Sorry to anyone out there wondering what the heck happened to me and why I have been ignoring you...

::cough, cough, sniffle::

Please remember to take extra care of yourself this next month or so, I have heard plenty of flu stories this week NOT related to the wedding that it must be a rather nasty and extremely contagious one.  Maybe next year I won't blow off my vaccination because I am too busy with work.  Hmm, 20 minutes out of work to get the shot, or 5 days out of work to recuperate.  Doh!    http://www.cdc.gov/flu/?s_cid=newmediaFlu_006
