Ravings of a Developer TS

I have been with Microsoft as part of their Develop Platform and Evangelism team since July of 2006. As I go about my day to day, I often stumble across things I want to share out with the community. This is my soap box. I am based out of the Midwest District, so please don't be offended if you see most of the events I post being in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. If you are ever curious if the event will be in a city near you, just ask :)

Chicago VSTS User Group is Still Alive and Kicking!

I have gotten a number of emails wondering what the heck happened to the user group in Chicago.  Have no fear, it is not gone.  We were put on hiatus by a) an issue with the last web-site that caused us to have to look for new hosting and b) the launch event which has pulled me in several directions.  We will be meeting again in April to get an overview of Teamprise, the TFS plug-in that runs on Linux or Mac (you heard right, Linux and Mac!!).  Teamprise 3.0 was also just released, there are some cool new features to see.  If you have never heard of it, Teamprise allows non-Microsoft platform users, even Java developers running Eclipse, to get the Team Explorer functionality.  Cool huh?

Meeting is tentatively schedule for April 23rd.  Pop me an email if you are not on our distribution list so we can send you the details once we have them.  And be sure to bring your non-Microsoft buddies so they can see how this will help them too  :)  See you in April!
