Ravings of a Developer TS

I have been with Microsoft as part of their Develop Platform and Evangelism team since July of 2006. As I go about my day to day, I often stumble across things I want to share out with the community. This is my soap box. I am based out of the Midwest District, so please don't be offended if you see most of the events I post being in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. If you are ever curious if the event will be in a city near you, just ask :)

February CNUG Presents - MOSS for Web Content Management

Please join Avanade and you fellow CNUG members as we take a look at how to use MOSS for Web Content Management.

Agenda

  • 6:30PM - Food and Beverages
  • 7:00PM-9:00PM - MOSS for Web Content Management, Joel Danowitz, Avanade

Description

This session will detail how MOSS was used as the core platform for a internet-facing site. I show how to architect complex, enterprise level solutions in MOSS with a particular focus on Web Content Management, which played a key role in an example solution. I will also share a wealth of lessons learned around streamlining and automating deployments with MOSS – a non-trivial task without a lot of up-front work – and how the work done to automate deployments and integrate with tools like WSPBuilder help you save time on your MOSS projects. As part of the solution overview I touch on designing custom MOSS solutions that interact with third party systems and architecting complex content managed layouts that can pull from these integration points.
