Rhythms Airlift

Yesterday I had the fortune of meeting Bob Beauchemin (http://staff.develop.com/bobb/weblog/)  for the first time. I am a big fan!  I really admire his ability to simplify hard concepts into easy to digest articles and his willingness to roll down his sleeves into some murky undocumented area. One of my favorite examples was this excellent article on getting ado.net to run with Oracle back in the 1.0 days: http://www.fawcette.com/vsm/2003_01/magazine/features/beauchemin/   this particular link was included into any email I sent that had anything to do with oracle questions for a long long time.

I am now the proud owner of an autographed version of his new book (Thank you Bob!)  A First Look at Microsoft SQL Server 2005 for Developers”. I am a book junkie and I am really looking forward to reading this one.

Bob kicks butt and this book rocks. Addison-Wesley has definitely done a great job of lining up some killer authors. Looking forward to his updated ADO.NET 2.0 book.
