Its great to see so many sites developed on sharepoint. Thanks to RoberDan too for linking how hawaiianair was powered. For a very similar requirement, can somebody provide some insights as to 1. whether sitedefinitions or just sitetemplates should be used to give that look and feel.
2. Or by simply modifying master page and adding few layouts pages and deploying them through features would suffice?
3. Also, the critical question being whether we should simply have one big sitecollection and sites within it or separate sitecollections.

I just purchased their Backup and Recovery solution for my farm and I love how granular it is! Something to consider if you guys have lost a document and had to dig for it.
This is a brilliantly designed site built using sharepoint (MOSS) 2007 for Sheffield LEP BSF Sheffield. (see the sign in - top right hand corner (tell tell sign) I'm impressed with the design of this site - very cool
