Spending a Beautiful Spring Day in Canberra

I went to Canberra today, to host a CardSpace workshop with my colleague Nils.

I noticed a few things:

  • beautiful cherry blossoms, it felt like April in Japan
  • Canberrans are lovely people, laid back and friendly!
  • no traffic jams, 10 minutes scenic drive to the airport from city centre
  • Federal Government customers express genuine appreciation to me for meeting and talking with them about architecture and technology

I can’t believe this is the first time I’ve visited Canberra as a Microsoft employee, I must find excuses to go there more often.

Good of you to come! I'm sure we can think of another reason for you to come again (in any season but winter by the sound of things)
