April first joined Microsoft in 1997 testing localized versions of Microsoft Office. In 1998 she started work for the Visual C++ team in various areas including setup, samples, servicing and documentation. For the past five years worked as a release program manager for Visual C++, helping the team manage the development and release process for Visual Studio 2002, 2003 and 2005. Currently she is working in the Developer Division User Education organization working to improve the developer help experience.
Prior to working at Microsoft, she was an Access developer. April has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Systems. She grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado, but lived for extended periods in Phoenix, Arizona and Denver, Colorado before moving to the Seattle region to join Microsoft.
