| 9:10 – 10:10 | | Changing the world with Software and Services MS architectural strategy of "Software + Services" complements the nowadays popular vision of SaaS where basically browsers (running RIAs) connect to services only running in the cloud. S+S enriches and complements this SaaS vision by leveraging local IT resources where this brings added value for the end-user. In this context MS pitches "Software plus Services" instead of "Software versus Services".Learn about the impact this model has on the application architecture of Software as well as Services and the impact for the IT organizations that are embracing this new model. |

| 10:10 – 11:10 | | Increasing Business and IT Agility with SOA and Microsoft Microsoft’s SOA and Business Process portfolio includes a broad array of offers spanning Business Strategy, IT Strategy, and Solution Delivery. This portfolio provides business managers, IT professionals, architects, and developers with the guidance, technologies, and tools for scoping, designing, building and maintaining SOA and Business Process strategies and solutions, as well as the personal productivity software that enables business users to streamline and optimize business processes in a manner that increases productivity, lowers costs, and promotes organizational agility. This session will provide Microsoft’s perspective on the value and scope of SOA, its relationship to BPM, patterns for SOA success, and details on our business and technology portfolio. |

| 11:30 – 12:30 | | Gaining Control of Your SOA Whether you’re just getting started with services-based applications or you’ve already deployed a SOA system, you’ll find that controlling these distributed, evolving applications is paramount. Without the right infrastructure in place, your ability to ensure the performance and reliability of your SOA applications diminishes as your services network grows. This session will define and discuss SOA Governance and explore areas such as design-time and runtime governance from a Microsoft perspective and distinguish between these. This session focuses on the Microsoft end-to-end platform capabilities |

| 13:30 – 14:40 | | Gaining Control of Your SOA: the Microsoft ecosystem During this session, senior speakers from some of our main partners of the Business Process Alliance (like Amberpoint or SOA Software both in the Gartner Magical Quadrant for SOA Goverance Technology) will bring insight about how their offering integrates with and extends upon the MS SOA Governance platform and as such are a key differentiator that complements Microsoft’s SOA Governance platform and tools. |
 |
| 14:40 – 15:40 | | Achieving Mainstream Adoption of BPM Business Process Management, or BPM, is a great vision, but it has yet to reach mainstream adoption. In this presentation we cover Microsoft’s view on achieving the BPM vision pragmatically through discrete routes of adoption, collaborative process modeling, Microsoft’s business process platform (Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, BizTalk Server 2006 R2, Windows Workflow Foundation), and the Microsoft’s Business Process Alliance, a strategic partner ecosystem targeting the Microsoft business process platform. Microsoft’s people-ready approach empowers organizations to rapidly build adaptive, mission-critical business process management solutions spanning people, systems, and organizations. This is not a technical session, but it provides useful guidance for those thinking about making investments in Business Process Management, either at an IT or business-side management level. In addition, it is useful for those in need of tools to communicate to their business counterparts and IT management on how to best approach a BPM initiative. |
