I’ve added a new button to my blog today! If you scroll down the page, and look on the right side, just above the PDC jar, you’ll see a button under the title “Contact Me on IM”. This allows you to start an instant messaging  conversation with me, as long as I am online at that time. What is particularly  important abut this functionality, is that  you don’t need to have an Instant Messaging client installed or even  an Instant messenger ID.

Setting this up, was extremely easy following the setup from here http://dev.live.com/messenger/ , you must have  setup a windows live ID for this link http://settings.messenger.live.com/Applications/WebSettings.aspx.

This is a great way to enable customers to have a on demand conversation with a business.
