Have you tried Popfly yet? No? You simply must! Below I have mashed together  beach images from flickr and linked their meta data concerning where they were taken to  virtual earth.So you can see where the images were actually taken.

As you can see,  you have full control over the map. It only took me a few minutes to create using a drag and drop tool inside a browser.

Popfly ( I have no idea why its called that) is a remarkable tool.

 

What is particularly interesting is the ability to  consume  a service (photos in this case) from another and bind it with another  service (maps). Its relatively easy to expose  services from current sites. This enables users to consume these services in sites,blogs, or social networking applications.
