How many scripting languages are needed from the command line? Wouldn't kix perl or python do this already. It stuns me that with all the GUI basis that MS sells that they cannot provide admins a more object oriented tool for admins. Scriptlogic, automate provide much better tools for the average user. These scripts will cater to approx 20 percent of the admins out there. Most will use some sort of vb, kix or perl script to do most automate. Then there is MOM of course which does most of what they seek anyways. Why not just create or but companies like automate, script logic and use that team to create scripting interfaces to admins. That would be a big dagger at Linux if ever there was one. Feeling empowered is important to admins, particularly junior ones. Tools like scriptlogic will get them there quickly. Tools like this MSH stuff will not.
Just my 2 cents.

Nomad reaches Beta 1 stage

Nomad is the codename for Microsoft next-generation command lines shell.&nbsp; It's like a bit like "korn/bash/......

Microsoft Command Shell

Microsoft Command Shell

Microsoft Command Shell

HandledException » Microsoft Command Shell “Monad”

PingBack from http://suniljagadish.wordpress.com/2005/07/10/microsoft-command-shell-monad/

Can Live » Blog Archive » Monad - Microsoft Vista Shell Scripting Language

PingBack from http://canlive.net/monad-microsoft-vista-shell-scripting.html
