Before I leave to Pondicherry for a weekend adventure, I though I’ll post a small how to on Microsoft Expression Media Encoder. I never worked on any video editing tool before but after watching James I thought maybe I can do it. My objective here is to create an image overlay on a wmv file and then watch this video in Silverlight.

So lets’ start with importing a Video in Media Encoder

Once having imported the video click on encode section. Now let's go to Setting Tab and expend Overlay section. Check enable overlay Icon and select an image to create the overlay, keep opacity to 50%

Media encoder comes with some predefined templates for output display, you can choose a template from Job output section of output tab, also select the directory for the output video

Now click on encode to produce the desired output
