Hi Twicave - I have posted an updated version of DUAScriptGen. You can find information about it at http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/2006/04/05/569522.aspx. I searched the newsgroup but couldn't find the exact post that you are referring to, so I am not positive that the updated version of DUAScriptGen that I posted will fix your issue. Can you please post a link directly to your newsgroup post so I can confirm?

Great tool but a couple of requests...

Can we have an option for EWF disable at the start?

Can we have a "system file" option per file to make it do the rename, copy and trailing delete after the reboot?

Hi Terry - Thank you for the feedback on DUAScriptGen. In the most recent revision (described at http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/2006/05/10/595146.aspx), I added an option that is essentially the same as marking a file as a system file. It is located in the file details page, and it is a checkbox labeled "File could be in use" (that checkbox is activated if you choose a copy or delete file operation). Can you give that a try and see if it meets your needs?

I really like the EWF disabling idea - I will add that to my list for future improvements.

Thanks for the tool.

Is it possible to improve the registry key import? The limit of Int16 on DWORD values a real problem. Trying to import a key such as -

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ComputerAssociates\ScanEngine\update]

"INOCULATEIT"=dword:40d03621

"VET"=dword:40d03630

just makes the tool mad.

Hi BBackus - I will take a look at doing this in the near future. In the meantime, you can also manually add these values to the generated DUS file after you create it using DuaScriptGen as a workaround. I'm sorry for the incovenience.

It would be nice if the destination filename could be edited separately from the source filename. I realize that I can do this in the script file, but it would be convenient to be able to do it in the tool.

Any updates to running the utility on a Vista machine? I am getting an error box for .net framework 1.0.3705 and 1.1.4322 requirements.

Hi Sketti - It looks like I have been testing DuaScriptGen on Vista systems that also have the .NET Framework 1.1 installed and that is why I hadn't seen this error previously. I will post an updated version on my WinISP site shortly, but in the meantime, you can modify duascriptgen.exe.config to include the following line in order to fix this issue:

This line should appear above the line that lists version 1.1.4322 (so that it will use 2.0 first if multiple versions of the .NET Framework are present).
