I think instant messaging and texting should both be avoided like the plague. &amp;nbsp;All these methods are very impersonal and sometime very time consuming. I find sometime a quick call gets me a lot farther than a simple text message or email.&lt;/p&gt;

Where IM comes into it's own is if you need a quick reply from someone you know well but don't want to interupt their work with a call.&lt;/p&gt;
