Happy New Year for 2005!

Well.........................its my first week back in work after the Christmas break and I can tell you it was a shock to the system when my alarm went off last Monday morning! I had gotten very used to having a sleep in every morning. Anyway I had a fantastic break over the holiday and really relaxed, I went to the beach some days and caught up on lots of reading, sleeping and far too much eating!

I had a great New Year's Eve, we went down to Cremorne Point (where half of Sydney seemed to have gathered) and found a good spot to put down our blanket and watch the fireworks while enjoying lots of food and drink. We must have waited for about 20 minutes after the midnight fireworks had finished, watching the "ball" on the side of the bridge to see if something was going to happen.................................................... obviously nothing did.

We had an interesting morning this morning, we had a group of year 10 and TAFE students in the Microsoft offices for a career day. Various managers from the business spoke to them about Multimedia, Xbox etc and myself and James spoke about careers at MS and general "Tips & Tricks" for compiling a resume, working with recruitment agencies and preparing for an interview etc. Their day will finish up in the Xbox room where they can play computer games including the new Halo 2 game which they will hopefully enjoy.

Until my next blog, enjoy the weekend...............Finuala
