In case you missed it, the official name for "Avalon" is
Windows Presentation Foundation
and the official name for "Indigo" is
Windows Communication Foundation
. Hmmm. I guess this is the answer for folks that felt the Vista name was too creative and favor more boring but self-explanatory names. At least you should know what the technologies should be used for! I'm not sure whether WPF/WCF or WinPF/WinCF will catch on, but I hope someone gives the official word soon because these names are a mouthful!
