We need printable documentation. I would think that people would begin to use the technology more quickly if Microsoft would publish PDF or at least WORD formatted documentation, not as a replacement to the online MSDN style docs, but more like other third party vendors provide for their products.

These are large topic areas and it is too much to consume while sitting in front of the computer.

When I'm giving a long document like that a read, I like to take a break from the computer screen, not to mention arm myself with a pencil and a highlighter to keep the enterprise active. But printing out the MSDN document has apparently been made intentionally hard. Not only is there no longer a "Print Topic" selection on the shortcut menu that will walk the document hierarchy, but even if you laboriously and individually step through the topics doing select, copy, and paste, you still don't have it, as the code samples have been formatted in such a way that they don't have proper line breaks unless you use the "Copy Code" button.

I spent more than an hour trying to get the Entity Framework documentation in a printable form, and finally decided I'd just use other sources. Who are you protecting this from?

I'm desperate for a solution to access bespoke flatfile databases, is it possible to write code to fit in with EDM? If so where's the documentation? Should I use nHibernate instead?

Cheers

I'm finally starting using EF and making my firsts steps with this GREAT tool! I´ve been using NHibernate for a while and believe me this is much better.

About documentation: I can´t find how to add tables to a store. I tried to find this information in Entity Data Models Tools->Common Tasks Using Entity Data Models Tools->How to:Map an entity to a database table. I think information about that topic is needed, because I do not know how to add a table to a store through tools.

Maybe this topic is not already covered by EDMTools, if this is the case, apologyze.

Greetings!!
