We are the only Dept still using MS Visual Studios or MS at all. Stupid decisions like this from Microsoft will force my department to move away from Microsoft Development also. I have always been a MS supported, but with the down economy, the price of VS, plus nickel and dime items like this gives my boss more fuel to fire MS???????????

Basic plumbing such as connectors to widely used mainstream database servers should be a must have feature in .NET. Removing Oracle support heads .NET in the same direction as removing any non-Microsoft computer to computer connection protocols (e.g., only suppurting DCOM and not tcp/ip).
