Overview:
This two-day instructor-led depth training course provides attendees with hands-on experience creating rich, interactive Web applications using the latest Web technologies from Microsoft. Attendees will use Visual Studio 2005, Expression Web and Expression Blend to create exciting Web content that leverages new and existing technologies, including WPF/e, ASP.NET AJAX, and ASP.NET 2.0.

About the Training:
In this course students will work with the following tools and technologies:

 

  • Windows Presentation Foundation / Everywhere and XAML
  • ASP.NET 2.0 and ASP.NET AJAX
  • Expression Web
  • Expression Blend
  • Visual Studio 2005

The course will focus on how these tools and technologies can be used to create great-looking Web sites that are cross-platform and cross-browser capable. Topics will include user experience, security, and how to optimize the designer and developer experience. After the course students will receive a resource disc with valuable Microsoft content.

Target Audience:
This course is intended for developers and designers with Web development experience – even if that experience is on non-Microsoft technology such as J2EE or PHP. An understanding of Visual Studio 2005 or programming skills is not required. However, students may find familiarity with Visual Studio and the software development process beneficial.

Prerequisites:
This course does not require prior experience using Visual Studio or the Expression tools. However, some exposure to .NET development or Web Development in general is recommended.
