"this is for all of you studying a computing-science-related undergraduate or postgraduate degree at a university in the UK. IF you are extremely passionate about technology, and IF you are self-motivated and willing to help and share your technological expertise with the academic community then you might well be a great candidate for the Microsoft Student Partner Programme."
Why should you?...well, a student who took part in the original pilot programme says it all:
"I took part in the MSP pilot programme, but I didn't really know what to expect. The main win for me was the chance to get access to information, training and tools that my university course didn't cover, especially .NET. And it was amazing to be part of this community and to meet other MSPs and people from Microsoft. At first I wasn't sure how much I would get involved, but I'm a hard-core gamer so it was a no-brainer for me to host a mammoth two-day LAN party in Staines. It was just awesome - Microsoft donated loads of prizes too. I can't thank everyone in Microsoft's Academic Team enough for giving me the chance to take part and all I can say to you guys out there is, if you love technology, you'd be crazy to miss this."James Freiwirth, University of Bath
Nominations need to be in by August 1st 2004. More info here (please note this is for the UK!).
