As customers start to rely more heavily on MIIS especially for password synchronization capabilities, the issue of automated fail-over of this service becomes very important.

This presentation explores the scenario of using Microsoft Cluster Service to automate the fail-over of MIIS when deployed in Hot-Standby configuration. The impact on PCNS is also discussed.
